UGANDA

The afforestation project in North Uganda's Acholi Kwer spans 100,000 Ha and aims to revitalize the area's biodiversity and landscape. It will also boost local livelihoods, create jobs, and promote sustainable forest management. Additionally, the project will enhance food security and income generation, while increasing the area's capacity to sequester CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

Spanning 20,000 Ha in South Uganda's Lwamata, Kibogs & Kyankwanzi, the project aims to combat climate change, bolster sustainable environment management, and uplift local communities. It will also enhance wildlife habitats and biodiversity, improve soil water retention and reduce erosion. Moreover, it will create jobs and boost food and nutrition security.
